One of our officers stopped a vehicle for failing to maintain its lane.
While talking to the driver, the officer noticed a smell similar to that of an adult beverage billowing from the man’s breath. When asked, driver admitted to having a drink that evening.
During the course of the subsequent investigation, the officer found additional evidence to suggest that the man had been operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was then placed under arrest, and charged with Failure to Maintain Lane, and DUI (Less Safe).

While on patrol, one of our officers spotted a vehicle failing to maintain its lane after making an improper left turn.
After stopping the vehicle, the officer noticed that the driver’s eyes were glossy, and that there was an odor similar to that of an alcoholic drink wafting through the open window. When asked, the man admitted to having a drink at a local bar.
During the course of the subsequent investigation, the officer found additional evidence to suggest that the man had been operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was then placed under arrest, and charged with Improper Left Turn, Failure to Maintain Lane, and DUI (Less Safe).
After being asked to retrieve some of the man’s personal property from his vehicle, the officer noticed an empty holster, a magazine, and a box of bullets. A closer look revealed the handgun itself, which was problematic considering the man was a convicted felon. The firearm was taken into police custody, and the man was charged accordingly.

While on patrol, one of our officers was approached by a good Samaritan who had found a wallet on the side of the road.
After taking custody of the wallet, the officer was able to contact the owner, who came to retrieve their property several days later.
A report was filed, and no further action was taken at that time.

While talking to the driver, the officer learned that the man’s license was suspended. He was then placed under arrest and charged accordingly.

Just before 8:00AM, officers received an alert from our FLOCK license plate readers in reference to a stolen vehicle on the island.
While checking the area, our team located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. During the course of the subsequent investigation, the driver was placed under arrest and charged with No Driver’ s License, and Theft by Receiving (Felony). The vehicle was taken into police custody with a hold for the rightful owner.
A report was filed, and no further action was taken during that time.

Later that evening, officers responded to the area of TS Chu Terrace in reference to a woman sleeping next to a fence.
After waking the woman, our team noticed that she had difficulty maintaining her balance, and that there was a strong odor similar to that of an adult drink billowing from her breath.
She was then placed under arrest and charged with Public Drunkenness.
