Officers responded to a local motel in reference to someone “threatening to shoot the caller with a firearm”.

While speaking with our team, the caller stated that he had been walking across the parking lot of the motel when an approaching vehicle “sped up”. The caller further stated that the driver was visibly “irate” and could be seen throwing hands in the air inside the vehicle. When the caller approached to find out what the problem was, the driver allegedly told him “Get the f—— away from my truck before I shoot you”. The caller then walked away, without ever actually seeing a gun. A moment later, the driver of the truck exited the vehicle and allegedly began to approach the caller, before deciding it “wasn’t worth it”, and walking away.

Meanwhile, the driver reported that the caller had walked out directly in front of his vehicle, causing him to slam on brakes. The driver further stated that when he yelled at the caller about walking out into the roadway, the caller began to yell back, as if he “wanted to fight”.

During the course of the investigation, officers reviewed surveillance footage from the motel and never saw either party with a gun. As a result, the men were separated, a report was filed, and no further action was taken during that time.
