Katherine " Katie" Beattie began her dispatch career in 2020 in Idaho, where she developed strong communication skills, situational awareness, and the ability to maintain a calm, command presence in high-pressure situations. In 2023, she relocated to Georgia and joined the Tybee Island Police Department.
After two years as a dispatcher with the Tybee Island Police Department, Katherine was promoted to E911 Manager in recognition of her performance, professionalism, and dedication to public safety. She takes pride in supporting both the community and first responders through effective and reliable emergency communications.
Katherine is TAC certified and has successfully completed the BCOT Course, further strengthening her knowledge and capabilities within the field of emergency communications. In 2024, she was honored to receive the Dispatcher of the Year award, recognizing her commitment to excellence, reliability, and performance under pressure.
As E911 Manager, Katherine strives to lead with integrity, accountability, and professionalism. She is committed to maintaining high standards within the communications center, fostering teamwork, and ensuring efficient, high-quality service to the citizens of Tybee Island.
